South-East Regional Grades Competition

On March 19 th & 20 th 11 of our gymnasts travelled to Guildford Spectrum to compete in their first
Grades in over 2 years. They competed against clubs from all over the Southeast with the goal to
pass their grade.
Grade 6 saw our youngest gymnasts compete in their first competition. Confidence and composure
saw all 3 gymnasts pass their grade with distinction. Summer Rowe – 2 nd place achieving top scores
on bars and floor and 2 nd place on range and conditioning. Amelia Hadris – 4 th place achieving 2 nd on
vault and floor. Erin Booker finished in 7 th position with top 10 finishes on 4 pieces.
Grade 5 was an early start for these gymnasts taking their first grade. Ruby James started her
competition with a top scoring floor routine followed by 2 nd place on vault. She finished the
competition in 4 th place. Chloe Robinson finished her competition strong with a 1 st place beam
routine and a 15 th place all around. Maise had a clean competition and achieved 21st place. All
gymnasts Passed their grade with Ruby and Chloe achieving commended.
Grade 4, Saoirse Allworthy competed in a strong field of gymnasts with a beautiful Range which
helped her to pass her grade.
Grade 3 we had 3 gymnasts competing at 2 age levels. Eloise Gibsy finished in 8 th place passing her
grade commended. Showing her elegant style and earning 3 rd place on beam and range &
conditioning. Darcy Cobb finished in 11 th place also passing commended. Darcy’s performed a lovely
bars with the 5 th highest score. Annabelle took 7 th place in the age group above with a pass
commended. She also finished in the top 10 vault bars and floor.
Grade 2 Tamzin Salih took to the floor and used her experience to give a great performance earning
her a pass commended. She achieved the 2 nd highest vault score and top 10 finishes on beam floor
and vault.
All of the gymnasts did themselves, the club and their coaches proud. We are looking forward to
seeing how they progress towards their next competitions. Thank you to the judges that gave up
their time to be at the competition as well.
