English championships 2022

On Friday 11th March, Isabelle Priestley competed in her first Espoir English Championships.  It was a tough competition with 63 gymnasts from all over England competing.  Isabelle started on Vault, where she performed a brand new straight Yurchenco, along with a pike.  Her first vault was the second highest score of the day!  She had a clean routine on bars and her beam routine was beautiful, with one error.  She finished her competition on floor, where she landed her new double back and danced her way into finishing the competition 8th in England.
The next day saw Amelie Attwood and Shannon Baker take part in their first Senior championships.  They were performing against 74 other gymnasts, including Olympic medallists.  They began their competition on Vault where they both landed their vaults superbly, with Shannon placing 5th.  Both girls performed clean routines on bars and Amelie landed her new shoot front dismount.  The girls had small errors on beam but their routines were classy and stylish.  They finished their competition on Floor where they landed all their tumbles and danced beautifully.  Amelie finished in 27th and Shannon 19th.
We are incredibly proud of the girls and their positive competition, and we are excited about the upcoming British Championships at the end of the month.
