The Women’s Artistic Squad at The Meapa Gymnastics Club took part in a busy weekend of gymnastics at Guildford Spectrum on Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th September.
28 squad gymnasts competed in the annual Regional Voluntary Championships where they were competing not just to define the next regional champion in their respective age group and level but also to see which of the young elite gymnasts would achieve the honour of representing their club or region at the forthcoming National Finals.
Congratulations to Summer-Louise Nolan & Chelsea Ervin who will compete at National Finals and to Amelie Attwood & Poppy Morrison who will compete at The Challenge Cup in November.
The competition attracted nearly 230 gymnasts aged 7 and over from Kent, Sussex & Surrey competing across the four disciplines of asymetric bars, balance beam, floor & vault.
The Meapa came home with a fantastic haul of 6 regional titles, 12 all around, 22 apparatus & 3 team medals with 18 all around & 38 top 6 apparatus places.
The gymnasts upheld The Meapa Gymnastics Clubs reputation to gain tremendous results against some strong competition.
Well done to all the gymnasts, coaches and judges.
